Not too much to say about this trip.
My boss, Sara, has a co-grant with Michael Altherr at Los Alamos, and part
of that grant provides for a trip for one party to visit the other.
Sara was going to Los Alamos and invited me to come as well. My work
with the microarray related to the grant, so it made sense for me to come
with her, and the meetings were even interesting (amazing).
The highlights of the trip however were outside the meetings. Los Alamos in in the mountains of New Mexico and is (was) very beautiful. I visited the town museum about how the "bomb" was developed in Los Alamos, and went to Bandolier National Monument, the place where the forest fires later would begin. After 38 hours in town, Sara and I left to head back to sunny California... |
